Bernard Young has been writing poems and songs since his early teens. He has spent many years as a librarian, and began visiting schools and writing poetry for children during that period. Alongside his solo collections he’s had poems published in anthologies in the UK and abroad and some have been broadcast on radio.

As well as visiting hundreds of schools, Bernard has performed (often with Trevor Millum as ‘Double Talk’) at literary festivals, in libraries, prisons, colleges and even in supermarkets. He always includes music in performances and workshops.
