Dom Conlon in The Guardian's 'Books of the Month' & Savita Kalhan shortlisted for Bristol Teen Book Award 2020

The Guardian’s Books of the Month selects ‘This Rock, That Rock’

We’re thrilled that Dom Conlon’s new collection of poems, This Rock, That Rock, has just been selected by Imogen Russell Williams as one The Guardian’s Children’s Books of the Month.

The book commemorates 50 years since the Appollo 11 landing and celebrates our Moon in a multitude of ways.

“It’s playful and thought-provoking,” writes Imogen, “with atmospheric illustrations by Viviane Schwarz.”

In it you’ll find a spaceload of poetry forms… short poems and long ones, silly poems and serious ones. There are haiku and sonnets, acrostics and shapes, kennings and metaphors and slang, plus a whole variety of rhymes and rhythms.

To discover more, blast off to This Rock, That Rock. On the way, stop off to say hi to author Dom and illustrator Viviane.
